When:
Chicago Segway Tour operates all year long, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
We have tours in session four times a day: morning, noon, afternoon, evening.
We have a wide selection of different tours; our Lakefront and Northern Adventure Tours run on a daily basis. We also offer a Glide @ Night every Wednesday and Saturday night for a late evening tour.

Where:
All tours are launched from Lake Point Tower, located right across the street from Navy Pier. The tours take you along the lakefront with an informative tour guide touching on the major landmarks in Chicago and some of the greatest views of its popular skyline. With all of its countless attractions Chicago has to offer, your Segway tours will offer the most stunning photo opportunities.
You will never be able to cover this much ground on foot, our tours are much more personable than a bus or boat tour, and gliding on a Segway is very cool.
How:
The tour begins with a training session, getting you familiar and comfortable with riding a Segway. The training area has plenty of room for you to practice and maneuverer around to get the feel of your Segway.
You will feel confident and very comfortable riding a Segway after completing our training session.
We can have a group well informed and experienced through our training drills in less than a half an hour.
The Chicago Segway Tours:
The Lakefront Tour takes you down the shore along the DuSable and Monroe Harbor. Further south we will visit the Museum Campus, home of the Chicago Bears Soldier Field, Field Museum, Shed Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium. We will enter the Grant Park area and visit the Agora Sculptures, cool off at the Buckingham Fountain, smell the Rose Garden and cut through Millennium Park to check out “the Bean”.
The Northern Adventure Tour
will have us gliding along Michigan Avenue passing through Chicago’s most popular beaches. In the heart of the Gold Coast Area we will find the famous Oak Street Beach, gliding further along to North Avenue Beach with some of the hottest and busiest sands around. Lincoln Park will be our next stop; will go for a ride around the famous Lincoln Park Zoo and take in all of its surrounding glory where: General Grant Statue, Lincoln Park Conservatory, and the Betty Noetbaert Nature Museum awaits.
The Glide @ Night Tour is offered for the late evening rider every Wednesday and Saturday. Let’s go for a ride and watch the Buckingham Fountain light up at night. Let’s go see what is going on at the whimsical Crown fountain in Millennium Park. If you happen to join us for a Glide @ Night on either a Wednesday or Saturday, you will be treated to a fireworks show hosted by our neighbors the beautiful Navy Pier. Fireworks begin on Memorial Day and continue through Labor Day weekend.
Segway on Demand is for our customized tours. We offer the adventure and flexibility of riding a colorful Segway with Anyone, Anywhere, at Anytime. Instead of a walking tour, experience a custom Segway Guided Tour along the magnificent mile, Chicago beaches, or anywhere within 30 miles of our Chicago location. Customized tours require a 48 hour notice in advance; please contact us to set you up with your own Segway on Demand Tour.
Policies
We require that our patrons are a minimum age 13 years old and a maximum 65 years old. Riders under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a waiver to have the young teenager(s) participate in the tour. Adults 18 or older require no parental permission.
The weight constraints for a Segway rider must be above 100 lbs. and below 240 lbs.
Our Rain Check Policy allows you to reschedule your Chicago Segway Tour when it is raining heavily. Your safety is our priority at Chicago Segway Tour (CST) and will not run a tour when it’s raining heavily and jeopardize your safety for the sake of a tour. Customers not wishing to take their scheduled tour because of weather concerns or conditions are allowed to reschedule ("Rain Check"). "Rain Checks" do not have an expiration date. This policy is designed to cater to out-of-towners who are unable to find a satisfactory date to reschedule to while still in Chicago on their current visit. They have the option of taking their tour at any future date when they will be in Chicago again, or they may transfer their tour to friends or family. This can be accomplished with a simple phone call.
Chicago Segway Tour asks that all riders show up at the arrival time listed for that tour session.
We offer a 100% refund if you cancel 48 hours (or more) in advance of your scheduled departure. Cancellations are handled by phone at 312-890-3701. All tours cancelled less than 48 hours are subject to a cancellation fee. All tours canceled within 24 hours of scheduled departure are non-refundable. We do offer rescheduling options. If you fail to notify us of a cancellation, there is a 100% charge, with no rescheduling option.
Persons under the influence are not permitted on a Chicago Segway Tour. Women who suspect they may be pregnant or are pregnant are not permitted to ride on a Chicago Segway Tour. If you are unable to stand for periods in excess of 1 hour you will not be permitted to ride a Chicago Segway Tour. A Segway should not be operated if you have conditions which may cause you to become disoriented, faint or have motion sickness and seizures. I hereby relinquish any information in regards to my personal health. If I have any health conditions it is my responsibility to mention and bring to the attention of Chicago Segway Tour before services are rendered.
